Alatusaurus pergrandis ("grand flying lizard") is a 10-13 inches (25-33 centimeters) long species of Alatusaurus, flying lizard ("Flyzard") that is found on Skull Island. The animal is described in the book "The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island" (2005).
Facts[]
Alatusaurus pergrandis is the largest of all species of Alatusaurus, and could glide only short distances but it was a strong climber. Males had short horny growths over their eyes for territorial fights, where each of them would try to force his rival off a contested branch. With their short horns they locked like minuature ceratopsian dinosaurs.
Like most specimens from the Alatusaurus genus, they were crimson red and flew via a retractable ribcage that has been webbed to allow for short-distance gliding. Although it also spot additional 'tailwings' and 'neckwings' for added stability during flight. It was considered the strongest and largest of the family as far as size go.

Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
