The Bidensaurus (Bidensaurus mactabilis -"deadly two-fanged lizard") is a small, striped, nocturnal gorgonopsid from the uplands of Skull Island. It measures 5-6 feet long (1.5-1.8 meters).
Facts[]
The Bidensaurus is a dog-sized nocturnal predator closely related to the Lycaesaurus of the lowlands and the impressive fan-backed Gladiodon.
In many ways, the Bidensaurus fulfills the same role as a Leopard to the Lycaesaurus' Hyenas and the Gladiodon's Tiger.
These carnivores are solitary, except in the breeding season, when mated pairs might stay together for several months. A Bidensaurus uses an acute sense of smell to sniff out small or sleeping large prey in the dead of night.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
