Contereobestiolla, (meaning "frightening-little-beast"), was an arthropodic creature on Skull Island.
Description[]
Measuring at 1-3 inches in length (2.5-7.6 centimeters), larval Contereobestiolla were tiny creatures living in still freshwater. They remained as larvae until accidentally ingested by a fish host, whereupon they attached to the gut lining and pupated, hatching as mature arthropods to roam the gut freely.
Adults lived on food swallowed by the host, multiplying and growing until they infested the entire gastrointestinal tract, sometimes causing great discomfort.
They eat whatever their host digested and are quite adaptable endoparasites. Once mating season arrives, the females lay their eggs whilst still inside the host. The host would proceed to defecate the eggs, thereby pollinating the river systems with more Contereobestiolla.

Trivia[]
- Given their parasitic nature. It is likely that they survived via their host after Skull Island sank.
- It is unknown if they are an insect, arachnid or a myriapod as not much is known about them.
