The Fallow Mantis, Inaratumantis ("Fallow mantis") is an insect native to Skull Island, introduced in the book "The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island".
Facts[]
The Fallow Mantis resembles a cross between mantises and mayflies, though it is not known if it is related to either or is from a completely different taxonomy, even so its raptorial pincers suggest it is a predator.
Possible prey include contemporaneous insects like Celocimex, Unguasilus and the Shaggywing.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
