This individual, only known as the first Venture Crewman, was part of the crew of the SS Venture on the expedition to Skull Island, who appeared in the 2005 remake of King Kong. He is part of the search party that searches for Ann Darrow, who was taken away by Kong in the jungles of Skull Island.

He survives almost the entire expedition, but ultimately meets his demise, when the search party attempted to cross the log to Kong's lair, ultimately angering Kong, causing him to shake the log, making the crewman fall off the log to his death, falling to the Insect Chasm.

He was portrayed by Jed Brophy, who worked with other media with Peter Jackson, the director of the 2005 remake of King Kong.

Biography[]

The man was hired by Carl Denham to an expedition to Singapore (whom unbeknownst to him and the rest of the crew, were actually going to Skull Island). The crewman is present when Denham is filming a scene for Ann. The Crewman went down below to seal off a hole in the boat as water was coming in. He along with the rest of the crew helped try to remove things to keep the ship from sinking before Ann Darrow's kidnapping. He was later was among the group of crewmen, part of the search crew to search for Ann, who survived almost the entire dangers and overall expedition of Skull Island.

When they encountered the Ferrucutus, he was struck by the horns of the large beast, right into a tree, but ran unharmed, and was back in safety's hands, before the beast died to machine guns by the crew. He, along with the rest of the crew, made it to a valley to take a break.

Later on, when the ground starts to rumble, and rocks start falling, Bruce Baxter runs past by him and the rest of the crew. He, along with the others, start running furthermore into the valley. It becomes apparent when he and the others are caught in a stampede of Brontosaurs, chased by a pack of Venatosauruses.

Running alongside the second Crewman of the Venture, he, and the second mentioned Crewman, are amongst the fastest of the crewmen to run upfront, where Ben Hayes, Preston and Jack Driscoll run further upfront. He climbed up a rocky hill, further up, were behind them all of the Brontosaurs tumbled down, and soon ended up in a large swamp, to which the crew build rafts and try to make it across said swamp before being ambushed by the Piranhadon.

He survived the swamp attack, but ultimately meets his demise at the Log Attack. When the Log Attack occurred, Kong grabbed the log in which he and his fellow crewmen were. He was the first person being killed, after Hayes, by falling off the log to his death in the chasm below. While his body is seen in the chasm, his body isn't seen for an amount of time. It is seen until the last three men; Jack, Carl and Jimmy are slowly backing away from the larger, on-going pack of Arachno-Claws, Abyscidis and Deplectors, where his body is finally seen: no longer wearing his cap, he is lying sprawled out on what appears to be a pile of rocks or dirt.

In the extended version, after Bruce Baxter comes and saves the three with the help of Cap. Englehorn and four other crewmen, as soon as Carl starts narrate in a somewhat crazed state, we get to see the crewman a bit closer, albeit a bit blurry: his clothes are ripped apart, and visible red (possibly cuts) are seen on the torn pants, showing his skin and his elbow, all red, which ultimately marked his demise at the chasm below. His Mauser Gewehr is seen leaning on a rock, with its front on the ground.

Appearance[]

The crewman wears mostly olive-green clothing, including a cap, a t-shirt, and a backpack. He wears a dark-colored pair of pants, carries a Mauser Gewher 98, an has a long rope. usually around his shoulders.
