The Fire-side (Igneucutis pertenuis, meaning "very-small fire-skin") is a fish native to skull island's waterways, similar to a bonytongue in appearance.
Facts[]
The Fire-side is a comparatively diminutive freshwater fish found in the rivers and swamps of Skull Island. Having some resemblance to a Catfish, Fire-sides are most likely at the bottom of the foodchain, with a likely large population sustaining itself from the innumerable number of threats in Skull Island.
As its name implies, the Fire-side is best recognised for its vivid red hue. In large numbers, it would have most likely created quite a view. The Fire-side is just one of many freshwater fish that inhabit the marine environments of Skull Island.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
