Foeducrista (meaning "disgusting crest") is a small hornbill-like bird 2'9-3 feet at hip, 4'7-5'1 feet (1.4-1.5 meters) at the head in height.
Facts[]
Foeducrista was a primitive, flightless bird with a featherless head, a long, bright crest, and a saw-toothed bill. The serrated beak was beneficial in catching small prey and could also be used to shear off soft meat from carrion.
As far as size goes, Foeducrista is among the smallest of the flightless carnivorous birds in Skull Island. At only 1.5 meters tall, the bird is shorter than a fully grown man and is often bullied by larger predators as a result. Hence, Foeducrista had adapted to a scavenger lifestyle, picking up scraps from larger kills and even then, it is likely that Foeducrista would be bullied by the even larger Carrion Storks.
Trivia[]
- Judging by its beak appearance, Foeducrista would most likely be a flightless hornbill ratite. Possibly the largest species of hornbill in the world.
- Originally, concept art of Foeducrista depicted it more as a pterosaur rather than a bird as can be seen below.
