Gyas gyas (meaning "mythological hundred-armed giant") is a 20-30 inches long (50.8-76.2 centimeters) centipede found in the forested parts of Skull Island.
Facts[]
With huge mandibles, Gyas gyas was a specialist egg cracker. The scissor-jawed brute used the astonishing power of its mandibles to crack the eggshells of ground-nesting birds and then lap up the escaping fluid.
They were bulkier than any other myriapod and therefore, much more heavily armoured, which should provide some ample protection against a very angry mother bird. Although the hardened beaks from either Brutornis or Zeropteryx would be enough to turn the armoured tank into a fine morsel.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
