Chrysidycimex tobin ("Tobin's jewel-bug"), or Jewel-bug, is a small, turquoise-colored beetle found only in Skull Island.
Facts[]
The Jewel-bug dwells in the undergrowth of the deciduous forests of Skull Island. It is a rather large beetle, and it is very rare around the Island, due to predators.
It is a whopping 6 inches across (15.2 centimeters), making it pretty easy to find. However, their nocturnality makes it paradoxically difficult. Though mostly nocturnal, Jewel-bugs make easy prey for predators like birds and flizards.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
