Panderichthys (Panderichthys malus, meaning "Ugly Pander's fish") is a primitive fish native to Skull Island's waterways, and along with the Piranhadon they are the last non-stegocephalian eotetrapodiforms.
Facts[]
An ancient fish and a living fossil, Panderichthys is one of many freshwater fishes found exclusively in the swamps of Skull Island. It is a truly archaic fish that shares some familiarity with the much larger Piranhadon.
For one, Panderichthys possess incredibly primitive proto-forelimbs equivalent to that of many modern tetrapods. Whilst incredibly sluggish on-land, it may provide Panderichthys a degree of survivability when trying to avoid marine predators. Although terrestrial walking is still just as dangerous given the numerable amount of predators on land as well.
It is unknown what they ate, although they are likely to be piscivores.

Trivia[]
- Panderichthys malus is a descendant of the Panderichthys genus from the Late Devonian of Europe, around 380-million-years ago, but the fossils weren't discovered until 1941 - however, subsequent expeditions to Skull Island later into the mid-late 1930s and 1940s must have cataloged it after a fossil member of the genus was first discovered.
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
