Profanus (meaning "the un-holy") is a very large 20-30 inches long (50.8-76.2 centimeters) tapeworm found on Skull Island.
Facts[]
A variety of large, free-swimming tapeworm, Profanus periodically attached to host animals, where it rasped away the skin to expose the flesh.
Exulding an anesthetic to numb the wound, eggs were laid into the flesh while the parasite remained attached. Upon hatching, larvae lived in the wound until old enough to swim away and breed.

Trivia[]
- Given their parasitic nature. It is likely that they survived via their host after Skull Island sank.
