Rapanatrix (Rapanatrix wootteni, meaning "Wootten's ravenous-water-snake") is a fish native to Skull Island's waterways, similar to a knifefish in appearance.
Facts[]
Although it looks like an eel at first glance, the Rapanatrix is more closely related to catfish. Like a catfish, it is likely that Rapanatrix possessed whiskers or in the case for Rapanatrix, a single barb at the top of its head which possess a stinging venom for defence.
If the venom doesn't work, then Rapanatrix's slimy body could allow it to escape the jaws of larger predators. Rapanatrix represent just one of many freshwater fishes the inhabit the river systems of Skull Island.

Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
