Roy Bagley was a geologist employed by the Petrox Corporation. He was played by Rene Auberjonois.

He was arguably the only person who could be considered at all friendly with the antisocial Fred Wilson. Bagley is the one who deduced the possible presence of oil on Kong Island by examining satellite photos of the island. When Bagley later found out the oil deposit needed about 10,000 years of aging to be usable, Wilson decided to capture Kong and bring him back to New York to put on display.
