Sicklefin (Sicililepis minimus, meaning "small sickle-fin") is a fish native to skull island's waterways, similar to a batfish in appearance.
Facts[]
Compared to the wide variety of aquatic monstrosities in Skull Island, the Sicklefin is surprisingly mundane in appearances. So named because its fin resembles a crescent or a sickleblade, the Sicklefin is likely a important keystone prey animal, being near the bottom of the foodchain.
It is unknown what the Sicklefin actually eats. However, it seems that its mouth is beaked, which suggests it may feed on a diet of shellfish, making it a molluscivore rather than a genuine piscivore.
Trivia[]
- Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
