The Skull Island Egret is a bird native to the island, however, unlike the majority of Skull Island's fauna, the birds also have a steady population off-island, with most being found through out Southeast Asia.
Facts[]
They seem to have a special relationship with skull island's many ceratopsians, and the sauropods brontosaurus and diablosaurus. Often found in flocks, they hitch rides on skull island's tanky herbivores, cleaning parasites off of then in exchange for a ride.
It is unknown if they escaped skull island when it submerged underwater, as no confirmed specimen sightings have been reported yet. However, it is possible that some have fled to sumatra and other nearby Polynesian islands. Given the fact that they have a healthy population in Southeast Asia, it is a likely confirmation
Trivia[]
- Their relationship with the larger dinosaurs mimics that of the mutualism between crocodiles and plover birds.
