The Sparkleside (Micocallum pearci, meaning "Pearce's sparkle-hide") is a fish native to skull island's waterways, similar to a milkfish in appearance, but more to salmon in behavior.

Facts[]

The skull island's mullet species Micocallum made their way up and down the river, living in the estuary most of the year. Sparklesides spawned in inland pools forcing them to make the perilous journey upstream and back every breeding season.

One predator is the Ambulaquasaurus, who knows when they start their quest.

As far as appearances goes, their name is self-explanatory as Sparklesides glitter due to the highly-reflective scales. Outside of their swimming abilities, Sparklesides are highly vulnerable and only survives due to sheer numbers. This makes them a important keystone prey species as they provide the various predators a sustainable food source.

Trivia[]

  • Like all animals from Skull Island. It is unknown what they faced during the sinking of the island. Given the multiple expeditions, there may be a chance that a few surviving populations was saved off-land to a more stable enclosure.
