The Spider Crab or crab different names appeared in the deleted scene in the Spider Pit in King Kong 1930's (1933). It has large claws and a crab like appearance. In the scene Peter Jackson made for a remake of the scene it attacks one of the men by grabbing with it's claws. And we see the Spider crab or crab dragging the sailor to his cave.
