The Tiny Brightbird or simply known as the Brightbird is a swift that has evolved to fill the niche of hummingbirds.
Facts[]
The Tiny Brightbird resembles a hummingbird in appearance, but is really a swift (especially since all hummingbirds are limited to the Americas): this is an example of convergent-evolution.
Like the hummingbirds it mimics, the Tiny Brightbird no doubt subsists on a diet of nectar from flowers and possibly insects and is one of the main animals dedicated in pollinating the various plants of Skull Island. Whether or not it can also fly like a hummingbird remains to be seen.
As its name implies, the Tiny Brightbird is a very vivid and colourful bird with a bright green hue with patches of orange sprinkled on it. It is one of the more colourful sights in the Jungle Canopy.
Trivia[]
- It, alongside the majority of flying birds would have likely survived the sinking of Skull Island without the help of humans.
