[Source]

This individual, only known as the fourth Venture Crewman, was an older sailor that was part of the SS Venture's crew, where he worked as a depth's measurer. He was part of the search party that looked for Ann Darrow when she and the SS Venture's crew made land on Skull Island, where she was taken away by a massive gorilla known as Kong.

He survives most of the dangers on their expedition, up until the Insect Chasm. Once he and the surviving crew where thrown off a giant falling log into an Insect Chasm, he survived the fall. However, when most of the insects came out to try and kill and eat the men, this crewman attempted to climb one of the sides with strong, hanging roots, but was grabbed by one of the pit creatures, a giant crustacean, as a claw shot out and grabbed him and dragged him in.

He was portrayed by Eddie Campbell.

Biography[]

Sailor 4,3

The older crewman measured the depth when they approached Skull Island.

The man was hired by Carl Denham to an expedition to Singapore (whom unbeknownst to him and the rest of the crew, were actually going to Skull Island). He was one of the sailors that Jimmy told where they were really going, he is then seen watching Anne and jimmy dance much to the crew's amusement. When the Venture got lost and enter a fog, he was asked to measure the depths of the ocean of where they were until the ship came upon a wall. He along with the rest of the crew helped try to remove things to keep the ship from sinking before Ann Darrow's kidnapping. He was later was among the group of crewmen, part of the search crew to search for Ann, who survived almost the entire dangers and overall expedition of Skull Island.

When they made it to a stop in a dark forest, he got scared by several birds and shot at the direction of the noise. When it was revealed an angry Ferrucutus came crashing out from a bush of dead logs and branches, he was hit by the beast, sent flying while his jacket was unbuckled because of it. He survives the hit, and continues onto the trek. He and the crew stop by a temple-like canyon, where their break is interrupted by a stampede of Brontosaurus being chased by a pack of Venatosaurus. He trails behind the crew of men, running alongside the seventh and ninth Venture crewmen. He survived the stampede and the crew attempted to cross a swamp. The swamp was inhabited by a massive Piranhadon, that ate three members of the crew from another raft they built, whereas theirs was destroyed by Carl Denham, who shot at the beast underwater. He made it onto the shore, where he is seen alongside the third Venture crewman.

They soon come across a log that acts as a bridge, connecting to Kong's lair. Once Ben Hayes tells the men to retreat, he is grabbed and killed by Kong, by throwing him onto the cliff wall and fell into the pit below. He and the other men attempted to ward off Kong, but he shook the log, where he and the others gripped onto the log, where Kong turned and threw the log into the pit. The log halted when both of the walls held it, and he was shaken off with the other crew. He had survive the fall, where his cap fell off his head. Looking up and near a skeleton of a dead animal, he stands up, but is alerted when Jack Driscoll grabs a giant Weta-rex from Lumpy's back, where he stumbles back behind Jimmy.

He finds a section of the wall, where he, with his cap on, attempted to climb it, but was grabbed by the arm of a hidden Deplector, who lived in a small crevice, where he dragged him into it, being eaten by the large crustacean, and the only surviving remanent of his was his cap that flew off when he grabbed by the Deplector.
