The White Wedgehead (Cuneatusoris alba - "white wedge-shaped mouth") is a unique, white-headed lizard from the lowland plains and swamps of Skull Island. It measures 16 inches long (40.6 centimeters).
Facts[]
The White Wedgehead is the principal enemy of the Skull Island Dung Beetles: it specializes in eating them. Their long, spindly limbs and tails makes them excellent climbers and sprinters, which is good enough when it comes to chasing down their more cumbersome prey and escaping potential predators.
Due to the armour of said beetles, White Wedgeheads have a powerful jaw that enable them to crush through the thick carapace of the Dung Beetles and get into the softer morsels.
Trivia[]
- White Wedgeheads as their name clearly indicates, has a pale white head. It is unknown what purposes this odd colouration does to help the lizard, although it might potentially be used as a warning sign against predators.
